The Western Guitar course is aimed at creating a versatile performer. The objective of these courses is to learn different genres and styles of music like Rock, Blues, Funk, etc., on the guitar that enables a musician to use these skills both in sessions playing or on the stage. An understanding of these styles not only helps students in pursuing independent music but also makes a student a complete guitarist. The course can take in students at very basic levels and then progress them to more advance concepts and techniques over five distinct levels of learning.

Prerequisites

Students who are new to guitar or who have learn the basics of Western Classical guitar.

Syllabus

Basic Finger exercises, Music Notations and Theory.

How Guitar works, understanding different sounds of acoustic and electric Guitar, Chords and Scale exercises. Theory on how chords and Scales are formed using western harmony

Fingerpicking Techniques, Alternate Picking, Funk and Rhythm Guitar

Major Scale and different Modes of the scale

This module is all about venturing into different styles of the guitar 
For example, Gypsy Jazz, Funk, Blues, Rock, Brazilian Grooves, BossaNova, Swing Jazz (Based on Student preference)


Focuses of Building chords with extended Jazz Harmony

How to arrange a song, Fundamentals of structuring a song.


Improvisation Techniques and following chord changes with melody notes and Key notes of the song.

The system has an in-built video call classroom that works on the all major browsers. All you need is a laptop/desktop with camera and microphone attached and any one of the above mentioned browsers installed.
If you wish you take the classes on your phone, you can use the Bmusician app. Bmusician App is available both on Android and iOS.
There are basically two ways to get started with the classes. Live 1-to-1 or a Shared Slot. In case of LIVE 1-to-1, you can click the Enrol button below, tell us your time preferences i.e. when you will be free to take up the classes. We will allocate you a Teacher and Timeslot based on your preferences.
For Shared slots, you can click on the Teachers tab above, click the instructor you are interested in and select a timeslot that suits you and complete enrollment.
