Durgaprasad Rao
Shri Durgaprasad Rao is one of the topmost Hindustani Classical Flautist in India, popular for his emotionally expressive and soulful renditions. He is a master of the intricate Drupad & Tntrakari Ang of the Maihar Gharana founded by Baba Allauddin Khan, a court musician for the Maharaja of Maihar in around 1935. Shri Durgaprasad is a prominent disciple of the legendary flautist Padmavibhushan Hariprasad Chaurasia. He is a dedicated teacher who has trained over 300 students all over the world through his successful gurukula and online as a part of Bmusician. Shri Durgaprasad was conferred with the title Naada Nidhi in 2019 which he received the award from the legendary Padmashri Pt. M. Venkatesh Kumar at Gadag, Karnataka.
