K R Sivaramakrishna
Sri. K.R.Sivaramakrishna is an A Graded artist in Kanjira of All India Radio. He has been learning Kanjira under the guidance of Shri B.Shree Sundarkumar. He began his journey by learning mridangam from Shri. Chrompet G. Suresh (Disciple of Sangeetha Kala Acharya Shri Kumbakonam M. Rajappa Iyer), undertook Kanjira classes under him. He has won several accolades to his name like "Best Talent Award" at Sangeeth Samrat Season 1 and he has won prizes in IIT Madras Saarang to name a few. He has performed in many prestigious sabhas like Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai, Shanmukhananda hall, Bombay, and Ramaseva mandali, Bangalore. He has performed and accompanied many stalwarts like Padma Bhushan Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri. T. V. Sankaranarayanan, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri. Sanjay Subhramaniyan, Smt.Ranjani & Gayathri, Kalaimamani Dr. S. Nithyashree Mahadevan, Kalaimamani Sri. K V Ramanujam and Sri. Dr. R. Ganesh to name a few. He has also conducted several lecture-demonstrations and sessions on percussion across the country.
