R. Amudhakumar

Shri. R. Amudhakumar was inspired by the legend Sri Lalgudi G Jayaraman and took up the violin at a very young age. His initial violin training was under Swarabanu Shri TD Govindarajulu in Thanjavur, India. He then undertook advanced lessons from Sri G Janakiraman, son of Sri TDG, and Sri TKS Subramanian from Tirunelveli, India. He started his career in violin as an accompanying artist at the age of 18. Shri. Amudhakumar is currently one of the prominent violin artists performing solo concerts and accompanying many great musicians all over the world. He recently performed with the symphony orchestra during the World Culture Festival in March 2016. He is taking violin classes in 6 institutions in and around Chennai for students at different levels. He is a passionate guru who devotes all his time to violin teaching. He follows the Lalgudi Bani (Methodology) of violin playing.
