Keerthana Rao

Deeply inspired by the divinity in Carnatic and Hindustani music, Keerthana is a renowned Carnatic and Hindustani vocalist. Keerthana first learnt Carnatic music from her sister Smt. Prathana Narasimhan, a profound Carnatic musician. Moved by her Guru Sangeetha Kala Acharya Sri Chengalpet Ranganathan, and realizing the importance of getting the fundamentals right and getting exposure Hindustani and Fusion music, she moved to Chennai to learn from revered Masters. She learnt violin in a Gurukul from Akkarai Sri Swaminathan and later quenched her thirst for knowledge of divine music from Padma Bhushan Sri T N Krishnan and learn Hindustani vocals from under the world famous Ustad Rafique Khan which has given her unique exposure to creative or Manodharma music. Keerthana is a passionate Guru and places great emphasis on mastering the fundamentals.
