Kiran Kashyap

Kiran Kashyap is a contemporary Violinist and a music arranger from Chennai. He is a disciple of reputed Violin Guru Shri Akkarai Swaminathan. Having started his journey in music as a south Indian percussionist under the globally reputed Mridangist- Kalaimamani Shri Thiruvaruru Bakthavasalam, he took up the Violin purely because of his love for the Violin and the instruments ability to mimic the human voice/emotions. Kiran has also completed his preparatory course in western Classical music and Western Violin at the reputed KM conservatory (AR Rahman’s Music College). Kiran has performed numerous concerts and also founded the progressive Carnatic Rock band called “YAAZHI”. Kiran started exploring various Genres and experimented with the diversity of music. Kiran Kashyap has performed on reputed stages all across the city, like The Music Academy, RR Sabha, Naradha Ghana Sabha, Kamaraj Arangam, Unwind Center, phoenix market city Mall, and Express Avenue Mall. Kiran Kashyap has also had the chance to work as Assistant music director under the Singapore-based Music Director Shabir. He had the opportunity to work in 3 feature films (Tamil and Telugu film industry) and famous Singapore-based Web Series “Thilana”. Kiran is also the lead Violinist of “Motta Maadi Music” Band which is the first of its kind immersive and accommodative musical experience.
