Surya Kamal

Hailing from the southern part of India, Surya Kamal initially started learning Carnatic vocals and later learned to play the keyboard in the Carnatic style. To attain mastery over the instrument, he took up Western Classical training and completed all the grades at Trinity College. His exposure and expertise in multiple genres made him a fantastic composer and a teacher. Currently, Surya is a part of many leading bands in India including Lyricless Melodies and Augmented 6th. He has composed music for many independent tracks, documentaries, and short films. Surya also composed the first anthem for the organization VOIMG Voice of Indias Missing girls led by actor Sarath Kumar in the year 2011. Surya also enjoys experimenting and composing numbers in rare Indian Ragas.
