Vidwan Nagaraj Shyavi is a distinguished Bansuri artist and dedicated guru from Karnataka, known for his soulful expression, disciplined artistry, and commitment to the preservation and propagation of Indian classical music. With years of performance experience across prestigious cultural platforms, he has earned recognition as both a performer and mentor.
He was selected as a Member of the Karnataka Sangeeta Nrutya Akademi in 2017, marking a significant acknowledgment of his contribution to the field of classical music. His performances at renowned festivals such as Hampi Utsav, Anegondi Utsav, Itagi Utsav, Yuva Sourabh, and various state and district-level cultural celebrations have been widely appreciated.
Vidwan Nagaraj Shyavi has also represented his art in competitive forums, securing 3rd Rank at the National Level Yuvajanotsava (2016), 1st Rank at the State Level Competition conducted by the Sports Department (2014), and 3rd Rank at the State Level Kala Pratibhotsava (2012) in Bansuri Vadan. His participation in esteemed programs like the Sri Hangal Kumareshwar Special Music Program reflects his strong grounding in classical traditions.
As an accompanist, he has shared the stage with eminent vocalists, including accompanying Sri Sadashiv Patil at the Gavisiddeshwar Jatra Mahotsava, showcasing his sensitivity and command as a supporting instrumentalist.
