Trichy Dr. Govindarajan

Shri Dr. R.Govindarajan was trained in vocal and violin by legendary musicians like Sangeetha kala acharya, Dr.Trichy J Venkataraman and Shri.N.Amirtha Bharathi respectively. Driven by the passion for music and a thirst to master every intricacy of the art, he pursued his Post Graduate and a PhD in music. He was awarded with a Doctorate degree in music by Madurai Kamaraj University on 9th Dec 2014. Dr. Govindarajan is known for his unique style of playing the instrument with elaborate Raga Aalaps and Kalpana Swaras with a great control over the laya. He has been performing vocal and violin concerts for the past 30 years all over the world. He has shared the stage with legendary musicians like Sangeetha Kalanidhi Shri.T.N.Seshagopalan, Padmashri Dr. N Ramani and Shrimathi T. Vedavalli. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Government Music College, Tamil Nadu. He is an ‘Asthana Vidhwan’ of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.
