V. Venkataraman is a prime disciple of Guru Shri. Dr. Prapancham Ravindran, is a veteran in the field of Mridangam and a top-ranked percussionist. He is a young talented Mridangist, currently performing in concerts at many elite sabhas and venues all over India. He has also shared the stage with legendary artists like Shri Kalaimamani R.Raman, Ghatam Dr. Karthick, and Shri K.R. Saranathan. He has also won numerous competitions. He is a dedicated teacher who has trained over 100 students from all over the world.
