D.V. Venkatasubramaniam
D.V. Venkatasubramaniam is an acclaimed percussionist across the country. He is an A-grade artist of All India Radio. He is a prime disciple of legendary Grammy Award Winner, Padmashri, Shri. Vikku T.H. Vinayakaram. He is also known for being a child prodigy, as he started playing at a very tender age and played his first professional concert at the age of 18 with Shri. Dr. Seerkazhi Sivachidmbaram. He further pursued his Masters in Rythmology and perfected the art of percussion. He has worked closely with legendary music directors like Isai Puyal, the Maestro Dr. A.R Rahman in the superhit Tamil movie Mudalvan. He has also performed across the globe with renowned artists like Zakir Hussin, Shri Vikku Vinayakram, Drums Sivamani, Smt. Nithyasree Mahadevan, Mandolin Raju & Nagamani, Smt. Sangeetha Krishnamoorthy, Ranjani Gayathri, Sriram Gangadhran. He has been instrumental in molding the skills of percussion enthusiasts through his teaching and he has trained more than 200 students across the globe.
