Preethi Kannan

Preethi Kannan is a keyboardist who began learning Carnatic keyboard and Carnatic vocals at the tender age of 5. She learned under the tutelage of veteran gurus such as Ranganayaki Gopalan and Shylu Ravindran. She began playing stage concerts when she was just 10 years old and she gained her name and fame because of her innate talent for interpreting and understanding intricate ragas at such a young age. She has performed several concerts in the presence of legendary musicians like Grammy award winner Padma Shri Vikku Vinayakram, Mridangam Vidhwan Dr. Prapancham Ravindran, and Kalaimamani Dr. Mohrsing Raman to name a few. She has also taught over 50 students at both beginner and intermediate levels at Ravindran Academy of music, one of the top music learning academies in Chennai. Preethi also dawns the hat of teaching Vocals and Veena for online and offline students. She has participated in multiple cultural competitions and has won many accolades in her name. She has trained students from all over the world for stage performances as well as grade examinations from the esteemed Annamalai University.
