Film vocals is all about bringing out the emotions through voice. To become a successful playback singer students need a strong foundation in music and a cultured voice. This course, a perfect blend of carnatic music training, hindustani voice culture exercises and playback training, exactly provides you all the skills that you need to excel in film vocals. This course will also train students in singing film numbers that convey different emotions. On completion of the beginner level of this course, students will have a good grasp on the fundamentals of music and will be able to sing simple Indian film numbers in perfect pitch and rhythm.

Syllabus

Introduction to the fundamentals of music
Difficulty: Easy 1 hours approx.

A brief introduction to the fundamental concepts of music like the notes, scales, beats, rhythm, tempo, Indian Carnatic Raaga, Thala system and the different genres of music.

Carnatic Music Training - Shorter Version
Difficulty: Medium 15 hours approx.

In the module, the students will be trained in the basics of carnatic music that includes Varisaigal, Alankarams and Geethams. This module will not cover all the basic carnatic concepts in depth but will take a quicker yet effective route.

Voice Culture/ Dextirity Exercises and Playback Training
Difficulty: Hard 15 hours approx.

This module will teach the students various exercises like Shruthi Setting, Modulation training, Akara sadhakam and so on to improve the pitching, range, gamakas and various other aspects of Vocal/ Instrumental music. In this module, students will be also be trained in singing/ playing songs of different types and emotions.

Rhythm Training
Difficulty: Hard 10 hours approx.

In this module, students will be exposed to the thala system or the time signatures. Guru will train the students to sing simple songs in different time signatures and tempos.

Simple Film Songs
Difficulty: Professional 20 hours approx.

Students will be trained to sing atleast 5 simple film songs in perfect pitch and rhythm.

What are the system requirements?

The system has an in-built video call classroom that works on the all major browsers. All you need is a laptop/desktop with camera and microphone attached and any one of the above mentioned browsers installed.
If you wish you take the classes on your phone, you can use the Bmusician app. Bmusician App is available both on Android and iOS.

So what next? How do I enrol in the course?

There are basically two ways to get started with the classes. Live 1-to-1 or a Shared Slot. In case of LIVE 1-to-1, you can click the Enrol button below, tell us your time preferences i.e. when you will be free to take up the classes. We will allocate you a Teacher and Timeslot based on your preferences.
For Shared slots, you can click on the Teachers tab above, click the instructor you are interested in and select a timeslot that suits you and complete enrollment.
