Overview
In this course, students will be trained in the the fundamentals of Carnatic vocals that includes Varisaigal, Alankarams, Geethams, Swarajathi and Simple Carnatic Krithis. This course also involves basic theory lessons and voice training. On completion of this course, students will have a good idea about the basics of Carnatic music - the raaga and thala system and will be ready to sing simple carnatic krithis. The students will also be eligible for the Intermediate level in which they will be trained more advanced concepts like Aadhi thala Varnams, Ata thala varnams and advanced Krithis (Carnatic Songs).Prerequisites
Students who are New to music, New to carnatic music, New to Vocals, People who have had training in other forms of Vocal music but new carnatic vocals.Syllabus
- Introduction to Carnatic music and Music theory
Difficulty: EasyDuration: 1 hour
A brief introduction to Carnatic music, Indian Carnatic Raaga and Thala system. - Varisaigal
Difficulty: EasyDuration: 10 hours
Lessons that teach the fundamental ascending and descending melody sequences. This module also includes Aakaram training. - Alankaram
Difficulty: MediumDuration: 8 hours
Alakarams are lessons composed in a variety of thalams that focuses on improving the rhythm aspects of the student. It involves singing/playing the notes in different speeds - Geetham and Swarajathi
Difficulty: MediumDuration: 10 hours
These simple lessons give the students a great exercise on combining the melody, notes and the thala. . - Simple Krithis
Difficulty: HardDuration: 10 hours
Basic carnatic songs with a focus on improving the melody aspects of singing/playing. .
Overview
This course is focussed on voice culture and improving the Carnatic music knowledge of the student. This is achieved by training the students in Intermediate level theory, training to sing Aadhi thala and Ata thala varnams in different speeds and Intermediate level Krithis. On completion of this course, the students would have improved in their voice range, Gamakas, knowledge about Raagams, Thalams and will be able to sing intermediate level Krithis (Carnatic songs).Prerequisites

An introduction to imporant concepts that are mandatory to understand before going into intermediate lessons. - Aadhi Thala Varnams
Difficulty: HardDuration: 30 hours
A minimum of 8 Aadhi thala varnams. This module also include Voice/Fingering training in different raagams. - Ata Thala Varnams
Difficulty: HardDuration: 15 hours
Any one Ata Thala varnam. - Intermediate Level Krithis
Difficulty: HardDuration: 25 hours
A minimum of 5 intermediate level krithis composed by Trinities.
Overview
This course provides in depth Carnatic Vocal training that includes singing complex varnams in different speeds, advanced level krithis (including 1 Pancharathna Krithi) and techniques to achieve great control over different raagams and thalams. This course also focuses on Kalpana swara training and Raaga Aalapana training. On completion of this course, students will be able to sing complex Carnatic music krithis with simple kalpana swaras, neravals and raga aalapanas.Prerequisites
Students who have learnt Carnatic Vocals upto Varnam level and above.Syllabus

Difficulty: HardDuration: 50 hours
A minimum of 10 aadhi thala and 5 ata thala varnams in atleast 2 degree speeds with Thisram. This module also include Voice/Fingering training in different raagams. - Advanced Krithis
Difficulty: HardDuration: 50 hours
A minimum of 10 vilamba kaala (Slow Speed) and Dhuritha Kaala (Fast Speed) advanced krithis. - Pancharathna Krithis
Difficulty: ProfessionalDuration: 50 hours
Any two Pancharathna krithis. - Basic Raaga Aalapana and Swara Kalpana training
Difficulty: ProfessionalDuration: 40 hours
Lessons to train the students in simple Raaga Alapana and kalpana swara techniques.

The system has an in-built video call classroom that works on the all major browsers. All you need is a laptop/desktop with camera and microphone attached and any one of the above mentioned browsers installed.
If you wish you take the classes on your phone, you can use the Bmusician app. Bmusician App is available both on Android and iOS.
There are basically two ways to get started with the classes. Live 1-to-1 or a Shared Slot. In case of LIVE 1-to-1, you can click the Enrol button below, tell us your time preferences i.e. when you will be free to take up the classes. We will allocate you a Teacher and Timeslot based on your preferences.
For Shared slots, you can click on the Teachers tab above, click the instructor you are interested in and select a timeslot that suits you and complete enrollment.
